During SeaTechWeek 2012 the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) will be running a workshop that aims to provide its attendees with an opportunity to exchange expert knowledge, information and ideas on the latest developments in fixed and floating aids to navigation technology (AtoN). Its objective will be to review and amend existing IALA guidance on various aspects of AtoN system design and management, in particular in relation to daymarks, colour and vision, AIS AtoN, buoy and beacon technologies and buoy moorings.
The workshop will run from 1400 on Monday 8 October until approximately 1500 on 12 October and will be accompanied by an exhibition of the latest developments in AtoN equipment, provided by IALA Industrial members, to which all are invited.
